WESTMINSTER, Colo.—A man arrested on suspicion of being involve in a hit-and-run collision that killed an 8-year-old boy in a go-cart was charged Friday with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death, which is a felony

Sean Christopher Daniels, 31, of Westminster also faces a felony charge of tampering with physical evidence and two traffic offenses.

Daniels was believed to be driving a 1995 Chevrolet truck that struck a go-cart carrying Quinton Von Duyke and his brother, 10-year-old Kaeden Von Duyke, on a Westminster street on June 23.

Quinton, a passenger in the go-cart, was killed and Kaeden, who was driving, was injured, police said.

Neither brother was wearing a helmet and only Quinton was wearing a seat belt, police said. Kaeden was thrown from the cart, police said.

Daniels was arrested at a campground at Steamboat Lake Park, about 125 miles northwest of Westminster.
