Granby Reservoir hasn’t surrendered a lot of truly large lake trout in recent years. Sedalia resident Ray Childers woke things up July 5 when he landed a 35-pounder that measured 41 1/2 inches long.
Fishing with veteran Granby guide Bernie Keefe, Childers landed the lunker around 10:30 a.m. on 10-pound test line. The outing also netted a 19-pounder for boatmate Greg Elmore.
