1907: The Post suggested that the first capitol building of Colorado, a log cabin at Colorado City then being used as a laundry, be moved to Denver and installed in City Park. The cabin survived and was moved in 1959 to Civic Center as part of the centennial celebration.
1957: Heavy rains struck south Denver for the second time in two days, flooding underpasses and residential basements.
