Colorado Springs – Police arrested a suspect Wednesday night in connection with the shooting death of John Kidwell, 25, which happened the day before in the 1400 block of South Chelton Road.
Members of the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Crime Reduction Unit arrested 22-year-old Antonio Dwan Williams at a home in the 6600 block of Fielding Terrace in Security.
Kidwell’s homicide was one of two deadly shootings in Colorado Springs on Tuesday.
Another man, Jamil Salaam, 22, was fatally shot at the Pine Creek Apartments fours after Kidwell was killed.
A third person, since identified as Simon Kaiser, a 29-year-old male from Colorado Springs, was found dead on Rampart Range Road west of Garden of the Gods Park. The cause Kaiser’s death is still under investigation.
