An out-of-court settlement of $70,000 has been reached between an Evergreen man and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office in an excessive-force case.
Paul Janka contended that two deputies kicked his leg, requiring him to have a metal plate implanted, and tackled him during a traffic stop in November 2004.
