Prosecutors today charged a 22-year-old man with first-degree murder in the shooting death of a Burger King employee this month.
Anthony Joe Cole was one of three men arrested in connection with the July 15 slaying of 30-year-old Celia Meza, District Attorney Scott Storey said in a statement.
Authorities say several people entered the restaurant at West 64th Avenue and Ward Road and opened fire during a robbery.
District attorney’s officials said Anthony Lowe and a juvenile suspect were arrested in Georgia and are awaiting extradition.
Prosecutors also charged Cole with felony charges of kidnapping, conspiracy to commit kidnapping and lesser charges, according to the statement.
Cole is being held without bond until Aug. 6 to schedule a preliminary hearing, authorities said.
