The National Lacrosse League announced it will hold its 2007 entry draft at the Pepsi Center on Sept. 1. It will include players from U.S. college teams and Canada’s junior system.
The draft begins at 10 a.m. and will be free to the public. It includes six rounds of picks by the 13 teams. The NLL’s Outdoor Showcase exhibition, the indoor league’s first outdoor game, will follow the draft at 7 p.m. at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City.
Major League Lacrosse named the Denver Outlaws’ Brian Langtry its offensive player of the week after the midfielder scored four goals and added an assist in the team’s 15-13 victory over the defending MLL champion Philadelphia Barrage on Saturday.
It was the first time Langtry earned the award. He has 20 goals in eight games this season.
