A Weld County judge died today of an apparent heart attack while on the bench, state judicial department officials said.
Judge Frank G. Henderson, 50, was appointed to the Weld County court in May 2006.
He received his law degree in 1986 and worked for the state public defender’s offices in Denver, Grand Junction and Greeley, according to a news release.
He also served as a magistrate and in private practice before being appointed to the judgeship.
He is survived by his wife, Wendy Harrison, and two daughters.
