The Washington Nationals reached an agreement with another core player today, signing Dmitri Young to a two-year, $10 million contract, baseball sources said.

Young is contending for a batting title this season and represented the Nationals in the All-Star Game. His signing comes in the same week the Nationals locked up Ronnie Belliard for two more years.
