ANTICIPATION MARBLE/marble XIX
Marble 303-297-1429
No matter how long you wait, you’ll never get a drop out of sculptor Robin Antar’s bottle of Heinz ketchup, because it’s carved from marble. Now in its final stages, with a projected completion date of Aug. 5, the sculpture is part of an annual sculptors confab at the Marble Institute of Colorado in — where else? — Marble, the tiny town south of Glenwood Springs. When she’s finished, Antar will use the sculpture in a commercial she intends to submit to the company’s “Top This” competition for consumer-submitted advertising videos. After that, the sculpture will be displayed at the Heinz corporate headquarters in Pittsburgh. Check out Antar’s uncanny sculptures, including boots, clothing and Torah cases, at .

“Mind your footsteps on the trail/ ‘Cause the tundra’s mighty frail” is the sort of thing that might come to mind after listening to this Loveland author’s CD. Simple ditties remind hikers of all ages to be careful in Colorado’s backcountry. “Right Diet” tunefully reminds folks to avoid feeding wildlife, and “Mining” recalls the hardships endured when miners outnumbered hikers in Colorado’s mountains.
