Dan Kleckner of Lakewood shot a second-round 71 on Sunday to finish with a 7-under-par 137 to win the Denver City Amateur tournament at City Park Golf Course.
Kleckner beat Adam Jardon and James Heath, both of Colorado Springs, by two shots.
Sky Sox get shut out at home
The visiting Omaha Royals shut out the Colorado Sky Sox 9-0 on Sunday. Sky Sox starting pitcher Kevin Walker gave up nine hits and six runs in four innings, and the Sky Sox mustered only four hits against Omaha starter Ben Hendrickson.
Douglas Bernier, playing first base for the Sky Sox, had two of the team’s four hits.
