Traffic through the Eisenhower Tunnel is now running normally in both directions after a power outage.

While power has not been fully restored, backup generators have been stabilized, officials said in a news release today. Apparently, the outage was caused by a lightning strike which damaged some electrical equipment.

The power outage occurred around 10 a.m. Xcel Energy crews are working to restore the main power source, officials said in the release.
