Mayor John Hickenlooper is featured in the current issue of Esquire as one of America’s stylish hizzoners.
The magazine writes: “At the Mayors Convention, Esquire rubs elbows with the hardest-working men in politics and discovers we’re not so screwed after all.”
Hickenlooper is one of 36 mayors pictured in their finest duds — a group that includes Ray Nagin from New Orleans and, despite Esquire’s introduction, four female mayors. The convention was held in Los Angeles in late June.
Hickenlooper, half-smiling, is given a full-page head shot. Esquire notes that he’s wearing a two-button wool suit by Emporio Armani ($1,275); a cotton shirt by Dolce & Gabbana ($575); and a silk tie by Prada ($160).
A spokeswoman for Hickenloooper said the mayor would comment on the sartorial attention later today.
We want to know how it feels to wear a $1,275 suit with a $12 haircut.
