DENVER—Two men are facing charges of the interstate transport of stolen Native American artifacts.

Colorado U.S. Attorney Troy Eid says a grand jury has indicted 51-year-old Maxwell Garihan and 45-year-old Gary Garihan. Both men are in federal custody.

They allegedly transported stolen Navajo rugs from Arizona to Colorado and other artifacts, including moccasins and war clubs, from Nebraska to Colorado.

The National Park Service is involved in the case because some of the items allegedly are from national parks.

Eid said all items are back at their assigned locations.

The two men could be sentenced to ten years and up to $250,000 on each of two counts.
