Through the efforts of The Conservation Fund and Bureau of Land Management, 275 acres has been acquired along the North Platte River west of Casper, opening more than a mile of riverfront to public access.

The tract is located in the heart of the famous Gray Reef trout fishing zone, approximately 30 miles west of Casper, near County Park.

Hunting E-ducks

Colorado is among nine states that have joined the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in making it easier for hunters and stamp collectors to purchase the Federal Migratory and Hunting Conservation Stamps, commonly known as duck stamps.

The program that begins Sept. 1 allows the fish and wildlife agencies in Colorado, Arkansas, Florida, Idaho, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, Texas and Wisconsin to sell stamps electronically through their automated licensing systems.

The proof of purchase, code given instantly, allows for 45 days of hunting, enough time for the printed stamp to arrive by mail.
