Candace Rucker, who played in every game last season as a true freshman, has decide to leave Colorado, the school announced today.
The guard from Memphis is expected to transfer to a school closer to home.
“We tried our best to provide a good athletic and academic environment for Candace,” coach Kathy McConnell-Miller said in a statement. “We will miss having her on our team, but we understand and respect the decision that she has made.”
Rucker, who started three games and had a season-best eight points at Iowa State, averaged 3.5 points and 2.2 rebounds per game for the Buffs (13-17). She was fourth on the team with 28 steals.
