On Monday, Aug. 13, seminal Denver band Planes Mistaken for Stars played one of its final shows, at the historic Oriental Theatre. The party continued with a late-night set at the 3Kings Tavern.
Planes, named in 2003 the best underground band in Colorado by The Denver Post, plays its final show Saturday, Sept. 1, opening for a one-time only reunion show by another legendary Denver rock band, the Christie Front Drive. That show takes place as part of Denver Fest at the Marquis Theatre in LoDo.
