CENTENNIAL, Colo.—Arapahoe County health officials are testing a dead squirrel that bit a three-year-old boy in Centennial.
Broadcast reports said the boy was treated and released at a local hospital.
Plague has been found in some rodents in the Denver area recently. Although squirrels are not considered a primary carrier of rabies they have been found with the disease.
