
Robin Roberts’ prognosis is “quite good.” “The cancer is out of my body and I’m healing from the surgery,” the “Good Morning America” co-host said Thursday. She announced on ABC’s morning show July 31 that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent surgery Aug. 3. The 46-year-old Roberts said doctors will wait several weeks for her to heal before having her undergo more treatment, which may mean chemotherapy.

All recording devices are banned from the Sept. 8 event at the talk-show queen’s $55 million estate in Montecito, Calif. The guest list is secret, but such Obama supporters as Jamie Foxx, George Clooney, Halle Berry, Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen are expected.
It’s a boy for Bridget Moynahan and Tom Brady. The actress gave birth to the baby in Los Angeles on Wednesday, and both are doing fine, Moynahan’s publicist said in a statement. Brady, superstar quarterback for the New England Patriots, missed the first 15 minutes of practice Wednesday. He had said he wanted a few days off to attend the birth of his first child. It was unknown if he arrived before the baby was born. Moynahan and Brady split up late last year after a three-year relationship.
Stephen Colbert will auction the cast that helped mend his broken left wrist to benefit the Yellow Ribbon Fund, a charity that assists injured service members and their families. The eBay auction began Thursday, and bids will be accepted until Sept. 3. It has been signed by New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Katie Couric, Brian Williams, Nancy Pelosi, Tim Russert and White House press secretary Tony Snow.
