Getting your player ready...
For many dove enthusiasts without a dialed-in place to hunt, prospects should be better when the season opens Sept. 1. The Colorado Division of Wildlife has added dove access to many of its Walk-in Access Program leases, greatly expanding the number of public-access points.
To explain the program and the location of these new places in eastern Colorado, DOW will host an informational meeting from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at its Fort Collins office, 317 W. Prospect.
Biologists and wildlife managers will provide an update on how to use the program and new regulations. Space is limited, and registration is required. Call 970-472-4343.
