It wasn’t a surprise when Lang didn’t show up for practice Monday. Most people who follow the Broncos for a living figured he would be among the early cuts. But it didn’t make it any easier when it happened.
Lang was a pretty good player in his only season in Denver, but that’s not the point. He’s a great guy, which, in these days of dogfighting escapades, weapons possessions and domestic violence, needs to be pointed out.
The man never met a microphone he didn’t like. When the Broncos were struggling, you could always count on him to fill up your tape recorder or provide a catchy sound bite.
And now he’s gone. Who knows? Maybe Tom Nalen will turn into a chatterbox.
