Getting your player ready...

If Labor Day weekend finds you passing through Kremmling between barbecues, be sure to stop at the Shake ‘n Burger for some classic American cuisine on a bun. Your choice of beef or buffalo is served up combo-style with an ice cream shake or malt flavored to order (including the more exotic wild cherry, raspberry, butterscotch, banana and pineapple), all for under 10 bones. Appetizers range from a standard array of deep-fried delicacies, including chicken wings, mushrooms, mozzarella and jalapeño pepper poppers, or go the Tex-Mex route with a smothered burrito, tacos or red or green chili. No, it’s not health food (although there are five salads on the menu). But, then, that’s not really the point of having a holiday, now is it? Besides, there will be plenty of time to work it all off after you get to Steamboat.
