THE VOLTS Rock ‘n’ roll is alive and well – especially now that these punks are reunited for a couple of shows this week. The Volts changed the face of punk in Denver in the ’90s, and now they’re back for two more gigs before fading back into the obscurity reserved for local rock legends. They play the Marquis Theatre on Saturday and the Larimer Lounge on Monday. Check

music for The Post’s interview with lead Volt J.R. Spiegel, a man who is fondly remembered for starting a riot at the Cricket on the Hill in 2000 before his band broke up and he moved to New York.

SNOOP DOGG Throw your hands in the ay-er. The party MC is in the house with enough hits to reach the rafters. When the Doggfather takes on the Fillmore Tuesday night, expect to hear all the hits – from the early catalog work of “Gin & Juice” to the more recent bomb tracks “Signs” and “Drop it Like It’s Hot.”

APPLES IN STEREO You can call their songs “bright” and “shiny” and “melodic,” but even that doesn’t capture the pop magic that is the Apples in Stereo’s music. Their show at the Bluebird tonight is somewhat of a homecoming – they all used to be based in Denver, and now frontman Robert Schneider (and a few others) reside outside of the 303. Still, the band claims Denver as its home – and for that, we love them.
