DES MOINES, Iowa—The Powerball jackpot was expected to rise to an estimated $20 million for Saturday since no one matched all six of the numbers in the midweek drawing.
Wednesday’s winning numbers were 13, 16, 33, 44 and 47. The Powerball was 29 and the multiplier was 3.
Players matching all five numbers and the Powerball would have won or shared the $15 million jackpot.
Two Power Play tickets sold in North Carolina and Pennsylvania matched the first five numbers only to win $600,000 each.
The top prize in Colorado was $300 for 26 Power Play tickets that matched other number combinations.
Powerball was created in 1992 and launched in Colorado in 2001.
It’s now played in 29 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
