Getting your player ready...

Height: 6-feet-3.

Weight: 225 pounds.

Age: 17. Born July 6, 1990, in Newport Beach, Calif.

High school sport: Football (Class 5A 2006 honorable mention all-state linebacker by The Denver Post) and baseball (right field).

Grade-point average: 3.7.

Class: Senior.

My favorite subject: Mathematics – I understand it and it’s kind of fun to problem solve.

My favorite athlete: Brian Urlacher.

My favorite teams: Broncos and Bears for football; in baseball, it’s the Rockies.

What I listen to: A little of everything and now it’s mostly country.

The best thing on my training table: Steaks and Rice Krispies.

Pregame ritual: I just be quiet before the game and get into my zone to make sure I know what I’m doing.

Time management tip: Set the right priorities – it’s school first, do the work before you play.

Planned career: If football doesn’t work out, chef.

My family: Parents Ken and Stephanie; brother Justin; sister Jessica.

I would love to visit: Alaska.

What I like most about high school sports: These are things you’ll remember the rest of your life. Kids you’ve been with since you can remember, you always played with them.

What I like least about high school sports: I’ve never really thought of the bad part.
