AKRON, Colo.—A head-on accident Sunday killed three people on U.S. 34.
A pickup truck heading westbound drifted into the eastbound lane and struck a sedan, Colorado State Trooper Gilbert Mares said. The driver of the pickup truck and the two people in the sedan died.
Investigators were trying to determine whether alcohol or drugs played a role.
Meanwhile, a single car rollover accident on Interstate 76 west of Wiggins killed one person.
