Who’s hot: Senior running back Anthony Alridge caught a touchdown pass and ran for a TD for the second straight game.
Who’s not: Only the Houston mascot, who was beaten up by Oregon’s Duck in the season opener.
Key stat: Houston converted 6-of-11 third downs against Tulane and scored the first 31 points of the game.
FYI: After losing star quarterback Kevin Kolb, now in the NFL, the Cougars are using a two-QB system with redshirt freshman Case Keenum, who passed for 185 yards against Tulane, and redshirt sophomore Blake Joseph (113 yards). Keenum made his first start in the Tulane game.
