Nowhere have the Broncos made more changes than on the D-line. They have four new starters compared to the group that began last season.
The early returns on the changes? Thumbs up, says John Lynch.
“We’re getting contributions from our young players,” said Lynch.
Young players such as Elvis Dumervil, who had two sacks Sunday. And Jarvis Moss, who had another. And Marcus Thomas, who had an interception, giving the Broncos’ defensive line two in two games.
It’s not just the young players, though. In the end, says Lynch, a savvy veteran will make a big difference in the Broncos’ pass rush, which accounted for four sacks vs. the Raiders.
“I played with Simeon Rice a lot and he’s just getting going,” said Lynch. “As soon as they start giving him some more snaps, he’ll start wreaking havoc.”
