Greenwood Village authorities are investigating a series of early morning shootings in which windows at or near Cherry Creek High School were struck, officials said.

“We’re concerned about it, but neither we, nor police, believe students are in any danger,” said Tustin Amole, spokeswoman for the Cherry Creek School District.

The first incident happened between 1 and 2 a.m. on Thursday, Amole said. Someone fired a shotgun at a window at the entrance of the administration building, she said.

Someone fired a shotgun through the window of a car about a mile from the school Sunday morning between 1 and 2 a.m.

Then on Monday at about the same time, someone fired a bullet through a window in the front door of the school’s administration building, Amole said.

She said no threats were made before the shots were fired.
