Trevor Noonan, a senior center at Legacy in Broomfield, will play basketball at the Air Force Academy next season pending appointment.

The 6-foot-8, 210-pounder, the son of Lightning head coach Jim Noonan, liked the academics as well as the Princeton-style offense.

“It’s a good place for him,” Jim Noonan said.

The younger Noonan averaged 13.5 points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots in 2006-07, when the Lightning went 12-12.
