An Aurora police officer got into a “physical confrontation” with an “individual” today and the officer’s gun went off, police said.
“The round fired from the officer’s weapon did not strike anyone,” police spokesman Robert Friel said in a press release, “and the suspect was taken into custody.”
The incident happened in the 1400 block of Peoria Street, Friel said.
