There might not be a lot of Broncos fans in Indianapolis, but at least one person there is following the Rockies’ playoff push: Peyton Manning.
The Colts’ star quarterback and Rockies first baseman Todd Helton were quarterbacks at Tennessee together and talk regularly.
“I caught him after he hit the walkoff home run against L.A. (last week) and congratulated him,” Manning said Wednesday.
Helton attended last year’s game in Denver between the Colts and Broncos. This year, he might be busy for a while.
“I hope they’re playing in the postseason,” Manning said. “I’m really happy for him.”
