Colorado’s Chase McBride, a senior punt returner who helped lead the Buffaloes to a shocking 27-24 upset of then No. 3-ranked Oklahoma on Saturday, was named the Big 12 Conference special teams player of the week, the league said.

McBride returned five punts for 87 yards and his return on the closing drive set up Kevin Eberhart’s game-winning, 45-yard field goal with no time remaining.

Kansas State’s Jordy Nelson, a wide receiver, was voted the Big 12 offensive player of the week. And the Wildcats’ Ian Campbell, a defensive end, was named defensive player.
