SAN DIEGO AT DENVER

2:15 p.m., Sunday, KCNC-4

For the record: The Chargers are 1-3, last in the AFC West.

Last week: The Chargers lost 30-16 to Kansas City at home as the Chiefs scored 24 unanswered points in the second half.

Streaking: The Chargers have lost three consecutive games. They lost only two last season.

Who’s hot: San Diego tight end Antonio Gates made six catches for 79 yards against the Chiefs, and is the fifth leading receiver in the NFL.

Who’s not: Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson is averaging only 3.4 yards per carry and has only two rushing scores.

Key stat: In his past 20 games as a head coach, Norv Turner is 5-15. He was fired by Oakland after the 2005 season.

FYI: Colorado Springs product and former Northern Colorado standout Vincent Jackson is the Chargers’ No. 1 receiver with 16 catches for 231 yards.

Coachspeak: “In the third quarter, I thought we had opportunities to put the game away or certainly build a lead. We didn’t take advantage of them. Obviously, if you let a team stay in it like that and turn the ball over two more times in the second half, we didn’t give ourselves an opportunity to finish the game the way we should have.”
