Similar to the past two weeks, Rockies’ players acted loose in the clubhouse today in anticpiation of a one-game playoff against the Padres tonight at Coors Field. Though the team seemed a bit amused by the number of reporters who have descended on Denver.
Heading into the sold-out 5:35 p.m. game against San Diego, Colorado is confident, if for no other reason than it’s 38-15 record over the past 53 games at Coors Field.
The Rockies will start Josh Fogg against the Padres’ Jake Peavy, an NL Cy Young Award candidate. Peavy has a 1.29 ERA against the Rockies in two starts this season. But he hasn’t pitched in Coors Field since last season.
