CRAIG, Colo.—A new veterans clinic has opened in this northwest Colorado town offering onsite nursing care and video conferences with doctors in Grand Junction, 110 miles away.
The Craig Community VA Telehealth Clinic will serve an estimated 600 veterans in northwest Colorado and southwest Wyoming.
Veterans Affairs Department representatives and local officials formally opened the clinic on Friday.
The clinic will also offer blood drawing, immunization, wound care, health screening and medication, management of blood pressure and diabetes problems and other services.
The video conferences will put patients in touch with health-care professionals at the Grand Junction VA Medical Center.
