On the same day former Broncos cheerleader Lisa Pevateaux found out she was pregnant, the doctor found a lump in her breast.

On Sunday in Denver, current and former Broncos cheerleaders will form “Team Lisa,” in a show of support for their colleague while participating in the Race for the Cure as part of the NFL’s partnership with Lifetime Television in its “Stop Breast Cancer for Life” campaign.

Pevateaux, a cheer team member from 1995-98, most recently underwent chemotherapy treatments in August, and is due to deliver this month.

Around the NFL, Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Ronde Barber and Carolina Panthers quarterback Jake Delhomme are appearing in public service announcements that will air on Lifetime this month.

Barber wanted to honor his mother, Geraldine, a breast cancer survivor, and

Delhomme focuses on family members of his own who had the disease.
