DES MOINES, Iowa—A Powerball ticket sold in Connecticut matched all six numbers to win Wednesday’s jackpot worth $15 million, the Multi-State Lottery Association said.
The numbers selected were 2, 4, 14, 15 and 28. The Powerball was 23 and the multiplier was 4.
A Power Play ticket that was also sold in Connecticut matched the first five numbers only to win $800,000.
Colorado’s top prize was $40,000 for a Power Play ticket that matched the Powerball, plus four of the other numbers, Colorado Lottery officials said.
The jackpot was to remain at $15 million for Saturday’s drawing.
Powerball was created in 1992 and launched in Colorado in 2001.
The game is now played in 29 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
