FORT CARSON, Colo.—The Defense Department says a Fort Carson soldier has died of injuries from a roadside bomb in Iraq.
Pfc. Kenneth J. Iwasinski of West Springfield, Massachusetts, died Sunday in Baghdad.
The 22-year-old soldier was assigned to Fort Carson’s 2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division.
He is the 223rd Fort Carson soldier killed in Iraq since the U.S. invasion in March 2003.
