Hillary Clinton is slated to swing through metro Denver on Tuesday to raise cash for her presidential bid.

The U.S. senator from New York is scheduled to appear at two fund-raisers — a dinner at the home of EchoStar chairman Charlie Ergen and a lower-ticket dessert co-hosted by former Lt. Gov. Gail Schoettler at the home of Democratic activist Judi Wagner.

Campaign sources say they are considering a third, more public appearance, but they haven’t released details.

Clinton out-raised every other presidential contender in Colorado last quarter, but trails Democrat Barack Obama and Republican Mitt Romney in total contributions here. Clinton so far has raised $531,000 in Colorado. Romney has brought in $683,000. Obama has out-raised the pack of candidates from both major parties here with $1.2 million.

Tuesday’s whistle-stop is expected to be Clinton’s last in Colorado before primaries and caucuses begin this winter.
