Two gun-wielding robbers held up a Littleton woman in her driveway Tuesday night, shortly before a similar stick-up in Arapahoe County.
Douglas and Arapahoe County authorities are investigating and believe the robberies and two others last month may be connected.
“It would appear on the surface that all four were committed by the same suspects,” said Arapahoe County Sheriff Grayson Robinson.
The Littleton woman arrived home and was unloading items from her car in the 10000 block of South Bobcat Terrace when two men dressed in black and wearing ski masks accosted her.
One of them stuck a black pistol to her head and demanded the items she was carrying.
Police are withholding information on what was taken.
After the woman surrendered the items, the two men fled to a black hatchback parked on the street and drove away.
A short time later, Arapahoe County sheriff’s deputies were called to the 1500 block of East Mineral Place, where a similar robbery had just taken place.
In that case, two thieves dressed in black and wearing masks approached a woman who was in her driveway after returning home.
One man placed a black handgun to the woman’s head and demanded her purse. The second man opened her car door and took the purse and a laptop before the two made their escape in a dark-colored sedan.
Two other women were robbed in similar incidents earlier in October in Centennial, Robinson said.
