DENVER—Gov. Bill Ritter leaves for Canada next week on an economic-development visit to Calgary, Toronto and Edmonton.

Ritter says he will focus on energy and bioscience industries.

Colorado exported more than $1.8 billion in manufactured and agricultural goods to Canada last year.

Overall, trade between Colorado and Canada amounted to nearly $3.5 billion in 2006.

Ritter’s office says Colorado-Canada trade supported 93,000 jobs in the state last year.
