DENVER—State House Democrats have elected Representative Andy Kerr as majority whip.
Kerr replaces Dorothy Butcher, who resigned from the leadership post to run for Pueblo County commissioner.
The whip’s duties include making sure fellow party members are present when key votes are taken.
Kerr represents Jefferson County.
