Kylie Taylor is a senior at Standley Lake High School in Westminster.

She is the captain of the cross country team and has been a Link Leader for the past two years. Link Leaders are upperclassmen who help freshmen adjust from middle school to high school. She also spends time working with her church’s youth group.

Kylie maintains a 4.2 weighted grade- point average. She has taken nine honors courses, as well as seven Advanced Placement classes. Kylie is ranked No. 1 in her class of 351.

She achieved a perfect score of 36 on the ACT exam and is a member of the National Honor Society.

Kylie is interested in attending the Colorado School of Mines, the University of Denver, Columbia University in New York, the California Institute of Technology or Vanderbilt University in Tennessee.

Each week, The Denver Post honors an outstanding youth for his or her accomplishments.
