A 23-year-old woman was arrested Saturday after she told Fort Collins authorities she stabbed her allegedly abusive ex-boyfriend.
The woman, Sondra Solano, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault and domestic violence, said Rita Davis, spokeswoman for the Fort Collins Police Department.
Davis said the man who Solano claimed assaulted her is John Romero, 25, who fled the scene before police arrived.
Area hospitals and law enforcement agencies have been contacted in case Romero seeks medical care.
The couple’s 2-year-old child was in the home, but wasn’t injured in the incident, which occurred shortly after 1 p.m. Saturday.
