Colorado men’s basketball coach Jeff Bzdelik has completed his recruiting class two days before the early signing period begins with an oral commitment from Nate Tomlinson, a 6-foot-2 guard from Australia.
Tomlinson, playing at Lee Academy in Maine, is listed as a three-star prospect by and .
“Coach Bzdelik had been out here two times and an assistant coach had been out here two times,” Lee Academy headmaster Bruce Lindberg said to . in confirming Tomlinson’s commitment to Colorado. “I think that showed (Nate) that they had legitimate interest in him.
“After his visit out there, he felt like (CU) was the perfect fit for him.”
A member of Australia’s 19-and-under national team this past summer, Tomlinson becomes the fifth player to give an oral commitment to the Buffaloes. He joins 6-foot guard Javonte Clanton of Blinn Community College in Texas, and three frontcourt players: 6-9 Trey Eckloff of Cherry Creek; 6-8 Austin Dufault of Killdeer, N.D.; and 6-7 Toby Veal of Johnson High School in Savannah, Ga.
