A 16-year-old boy was shot in a mobile home park along Highway 2 in Commerce City this afternoon.
Commerce City police say the shooting happened around 4:45 this afternoon in the park at 7110 Highway 2. The teen was rushed to Denver Health Medical Center, but Commerce City police spokeswoman Lanissa Blevens said in a news release that his condition is unknown.
Three males in their late teens or early 20s were seen running from the shooting. They are described as wearing white T-shirts, blue jeans and blue bandanas. Police are also looking for two possible getaway vehicles. One is a green Chevrolet Impala and the other is a brown Ford pickup truck.
The two vehicles were seen speeding away in opposite directions on Highway 2 after the shooting, Blevens said.
