BOULDER, Colo.—A Boulder County teen charged with killing his girlfriend’s mother has pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of second-degree murder.

Eighteen-year-old Bryan Grove entered the plea Thursday, nearly three weeks after he entered a not guilty plea to first-degree murder, conspiracy and evidence-tampering in the death of Linda Damm.

Police say Damm had been stabbed and strangled, and her body was left in the back of her car for weeks before being discovered on February 28th.

Grove faces a sentence of 16 to 48 years in prison.

The victim’s daughter and Grove’s girlfriend, Tess Damm, still faces a first-degree murder charge for allegedly plotting the murder. Two other teens have pleaded guilty for their roles.

Grove’s sentencing is set for January 15th.
