Cafe Tacuba. Rock en Español is alive and well, as Cafe Tacuba will prove again Sunday when it plays a rare Denver show at the Gothic. The Mexican group — which packs arenas in its native country and has the stage presence to warrant such popularity — is touring “Sino,” its first new record in four years.

The King Kahn & BBQ Show. You like soul music and garage. You like minimalist records on labels like In the Red or Bomp. You like what’s been happening in Detroit these past 10 years. Then you’ll like the King Khan & BBQ Show, a two-man band from Canada that plays Saturday at Benders Tavern. The group’s music is incredibly diverse and incredibly fun. And it’s surprisingly soulful for a Canadian two-piece.

Bayside. This pop-punk band, formed in Long Island in 2000, is headlining this year’s Victory Records Tour — playing Saturday at the Gothic — and its melodic, guitar-driven sound is representative of a lot of the music coming off Victory. Bayside, at its best, sounds like a less interesting Jimmy Eat World. (Listen to “Duality.”) Most of the band’s music isn’t entirely captivating, but the kids do love it.
