If you’re going to get up early to be the first people at the Belmar shopping center ice-skating rink at 10-freezing-30 on a Saturday, you had better be prepared.
Luckily for the Berdahl family, mom Brenda is an expert at prepared.
Stocking caps? Check. Gloves? Check. Hot cocoa in a thermos? Check.
“We wanted to take the kids skating,” said Brenda Berdahl, who ventured to the rink with her husband, Tim, kids Tanner and Dakota, 8 and 10, respectively, and 6-month-old granddaughter Ahnaleah.
“We thought it wouldn’t be cold enough yet to take them up to Evergreen.”
